Hello fellow riders,
In order to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Rick Hansen Man in Motion Tour, a team of passionate racers --- including our drivers, both paraplegics due to spinal cord injuries --- are heading to the Baja 1000 this November in Mexico.
Racing in Polaris RZR 900's specially equipped with hand controls, a small team of people from Williams Lake and Kamloops will enter the Baja. This legendary race is known as the ultimate test of man and machine. I consider myself to be extremely fortunate to be co-pilot and navigator.
Here is where BCSB members can come in: we will be accepting pledges for race, collected by Rotary Clubs International, with 100% of all pledges being provided to the Rick Hansen Foundation for Spinal Cord Research.
It is in the early stages of planning right now, but please stay tuned for more information, links to our website and Facebook page, how to pledge, etc...
Our goal is $25,000 raised in honour of the 25th anniversary of the original Man in Motion Tour.
Thanks for your interest in this amazing event. We are always seeking corporate sponsors as well.
