I went across the border for my usual weekly gas fill in the nexus line.
I was travelling by the regular loooooooong line up to cross the border, guessing an hour and a half wait.
I drove back across the Canadian line-up, 7 cars were waiting to get through, in the regular line.... about 10 minutes later.
It really got me thinking, when is BC going to figure this shit out, our dollar has been at par for over a year + now.
All our prices are so far out of competition its not even funny...gas alone I paid the equivalent of 83 cents a litre in the US compared to our 1.22 this morning.
Everything from Costco to Bike shops, vehicles, books, kids toys, bike helmets, and etc is so much cheaper
1)Why arent we lowering our prices to get the Americans shopping over here???
2) why aren't we matching the Fing prices ...your competition for product comparison isnt up here its down there folks !!!
I am not a business owner or an econimist by any stretch of the imagination, I am simply a wroking class consumer.
If you want to keep the Canadian dollar in BC and not have 200 cars crossing over for the deals and only 7 coming through the border into BC the same time period then....
You will simply have to price match with Bellingham or go out of business
People just dont have the disposable income to throw away up here.
