Has anybody heard anything about this?
Been watching it for over a year now I think, they have had some positive developments but still a few red tape hurdles to overcome.
They have been consulting a bit with Seattle or Portland racers so if it ever actually gets built it should be bike friendly.
Hope it works out! Would be awesome to have another track close by.
hope the make the run offs a bit bigger, especially after those straights. Trees would hurt.

Wow. A new venue to support and encourage motorsport interest in the community -- Clearly the Government isn't involved in this!...bingo.The Ridge Motorsports Park road course and quarter-mile tracks will be entirely privately financed and open for use year-round by car and motorcycle enthusiast clubs.
But give it time.... I'm sure someone will step up and make enough complaints against it... always a way to squash the dream...-exactly. Until then, I'll file this one under 'believe it when I see it'still a few red tape hurdles to overcome.
"I dread beyond all else the growth of the petty tyranny of restrictive legislation, the transference of disciplinary authority from the judiciary to the constabulary, the abandonment of every constitutional safeguard of individual liberty."
Very exciting stuff. They are planning for about 45% motorcycle events for the track. They've invited all the area race clubs to meet with the owners

"When in doubt, FLAT OUT!"
After reading Zoomafoo's post, I now remember the proposed raceway in Merritt. IIRC, there was a picture of politicians pushing shovels into the ground and I naively thought that this meant it was actually going to be built. Still, nothing happened.
chicken strips are a sign of intelligence
unless you're at the track ;)
