Maybe it's a Canadian Tire strategy to increase revenues, by suggesting it's currency is going bye bye, and have people out there spending it all.....I bet it would actually work.

Hahaha, I like the part where it says there was increased spending in CT money with the onset of the economic crisis.

Ahh....makes sense. We use a PC Mastercard and get 2% on everything everywhere up to a grand a year. Got another one by Citibank offering 2% on everything which I can take in cash when I buy any vehicle, any shape, colour, make, model, new or used......up to $3500 I think.

    Schweet.

I though PC Mastercard was 1%. . How did you get 2%? Is there an annual fee for it. I'm looking for another card, since I'm running out of things to buy at CT. You can never run out of groceries.

Well, my assumption was based on the CT money being a smaller portion of the cash purchase, of a greater overall amount.

Could be a cost saving option. No printing, distribution costs etc.

Buy making people use a loyalty/ Credit card, CT will save some money.
