This will be my first spring after pulling my bike out of storage from the winter snap. So, i've been given a quote from Beacon Insurance, but after speaking with a few people from work who also ride, i've been told that the quote might be a little too high. i tend to disagree, but, i'm still new to the bike game and need some insight from all of you to see if i'm winning or losing. Any suggestions? Obviously ICBC is the last resort...lol. Here is the quote for my 2008 R1, which includes my ICBC discount:
ICBC - 1 year including $1 million liabilities $858.00
Beacon is $720 which covers the following:
$500 deductible for collision and comprehensive
ie. accidents, vandalism, fire, theft
$1500 for the gear
$1000 for the trailer
full earned premiums for 1 year
storage is included when ICBC insurance is no longer running.
Total ICBC + Beacon = $1578.00
Yay or nay?
