    Thanks for those! The drama/chaos of AMA at Daytona (March 12th) sure helps to fill in the big stretch between WSBK at Philip Island (Feb 27th) and the first MotoGp race at Losail (March 20th). I can hardly wait, and oh yea... GO BEN!!!!!

    Hey Jaybo or whomever;

    A few years ago I had speed channel but finally cancelled after a year or two because they hardly EVER had bike racing on. Just stupid "Pimp my Ride" kind of shows. Occasionally I would luck out at 2 or 3 in the morning and catch a race.

    I'm prepared to do what it takes this year including PVR or whatever to catch all those races and more. What hardware do I need, what services do I need to subscribe to, yadayada, to get all those races onto my 52" TV!

    Your help is appreciated!
    All my Mistresses have two round, sticky black feet and are Made in Japan or Germany!
    If I die on Phillip Island, so what! I'm already in Heaven! WOOHOOO!!!

    Yes SPEED channel is lame, EXCEPT for the bike racing. (MotoGP, WSBK and AMA are all there.) My low tech methodology is this:

    1. Know the date of the race. (Jaybo's schedule.)
    2. Go to Speed TV website and check program listings for race broadcast times. Convert those times to Pacific time.
    3. Double check TV listings and set up VCR to record (low tech, I know)
    4. Beware of spoilers until you are ready to enjoy the race at your leisure.

    Works for me.

    I'll give it another try! I had found their schedule was usless before but maybe that was just operator error!

    Bill I assume your on Shaw. The best thing that worked for me was getting a PVR. As you said the Speed online Schedule was shite for some time there, with the PVR you'll never have to go there again.. the thing is awesome, Seriously you'll never miss a race again. You can search ahead for a week or so and set it to record simply by clicking a button or two. We got our 500 gig one at Futureschlop for under $300.00 and it can be expanded even further with an external HD. We're looking at upgrading the sports on Shaw to HD for an extra $10.00, looking forward to some clearer racing and more HD hockey!

    Perfect! Think I'll get to Future Shop today so I can get used to the PVR before the race on the 27th!

    Is the external HD something I get from Shaw or Future Shop? My TV is a Sony Bravia 5100 or 5200 with HD

    Kudo's!

    the 500 gigs is pretty big but if you're looking for the extra space, as saving in HD does use more space. (I think the offered expanded hard drive is 1TB).. you can probably get it from FutreShop or Shaw, or if you're adventuresome do some googling or perhaps some wise IT type people might be able to chime in .. you can simply buy your own drive and add it on, which might be cheaper.

    good thing the PVR is easy to hook up! the worst part is you need to call Shaw to activate it. have a beer ready..
