So with a whiskey thread going next door...I thought I'd get a little beer chatter going.
Don't wanna hear about Molson or Coors Light. Gimme us the goods on some of the better ones you've tried. Here's a couple of my favs:
Kona Brewery - located in Hawaii of course. Sells in the US only unfortunately, but is reasonably common. Longboard Island Lager is their mainstay. Pretty smooth. They offer a pale ale called the Fire Rock. It's got a strong taste - not one you'd want to get loaded on I don't think, but the first 3-4 can go down quite well. I spent what seemed like a whole weekend and a months income at the brewery in a single afternoon a few years ago. A beautiful place.
Kilkenny - Looking for something darker, but not into Guinness? Cream ale. My staple appetizer at the Kingston before an evening event.
