So, I live in a suite on a property that has a big yard, and in my portion of the yard there is a heavily overgrown small tennis court. Landlords said I could do whatever I want with it. It's too far-gone to clean up and use as a tennis court, but I have better idea for it.
With some time and effort, i plan to turn it into a sweet ball-hockey rink. It'll be a big project, but worth it come summer! Picture 3-on-3 tournaments, playin your game then lounging in lawn chair with beer and watching a couple other games while waiting to play again.
- scrape off all of the moss and weeds with shovels
- pressure wash the entire surface to get rid of the dirt, moss, etc
- take a hedge trimmer to all the bushes
- install "baseboards" around the perimeter, to have something to bounce the ball up the court of of. probably 2x10's or cheap plywood cut down to 10 or 12" strips.
Tools I need to borrow/rent that I don't own:
- high-psi pressure washer
- hedge trimmer
If anyone is able to lend these things or rent for beer, I'll be happy to treat them well, and invite you to form a team to come play on the rink this summer! (Collateral can be provided.)
