The bike: 2009 Suzuki GSXR 600
The cable: http://www.gpscity.ca/gilsson-bare-w...wer-cable.html
I've gotten the cord installed neatly on the bike, stripped the cables down and crimped on some terminals, connected it up to the battery and plugged into the GPS and it works perfectly. The problem though is that the power converter is always drawing power from the battery whether the bike is running or not. Some people on GPSCity have wired theirs into either an auxiliary plug or into the headlight assembly so that it powers on/off with the ignition.
Right now the cable is simply disconnected from the battery for the time being, I have no idea how much power it draws and if it would kill the battery if the bike were to sit for a few days. I also have no idea how to do any of the suggestions at GPSCity nor do I have the balls to attempt things I have no understanding of alone.
Does anyone have experience with something like this? Any help would be appreciated!
