I recently started commuting to downtown Vancouver from White Rock. I moved to the province a couple years ago and my first job was working from home in White Rock, I do not know the city of Vancouver very well. My commute from White Rock takes me into Vancouver via the 99. Once I am near Vancouver, just after the exit for the East-West connector the traffic on the 99 is backed up until I cross the Oak St Bridge. It takes 15+ minutes to get from where the East-West connector turn of is from the 99 to crossing the Oak St Bridge. Is there an alternative route that one can suggest that would bypass this congestion?
