U.S. Track days while touring this summer
While planning some summer road trips for the summer I have been considering mixing in some track days with touring.
The first one being may 2nd in Portland.
I figure I will ride down and get a hotel near the track the night before.
Is there anything I should be considering other than tire wear?
Has anyone here done track days or raced on the track in Portland and if so whats your thoughts on this track?
I am doing 5 days at ORP in June..
I think somethign else you need to consider is worst case scenario... You are riding with lots in reserve, when all of a sudden, some numpty stoves into you because he was trying to be rossi!!
Don't take something to the track that you can't trailer home?
my street bike will be on the track, but it is getting trailered down..
That's something i would consider, but don't let it stop you!
Thanks I guess with any track day thats possible.

I've done a track day at PIR.. it's awesome. smooth pavement and high speeds, accomodations are found very close to the track. Since it's the states I'd say make sure to have medical insurance.
Some people are like Slinkies ...
Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs. TwinBrosRacing
