Just thought I'd throw a note up letting everyone know about a great upcoming event that Cassells Insurance is sponsoring. We will be putting up the $$ for a 1st Place Sportbike Trophy. As many of you can imagine these events traditionally have many Harley Riders turning up for them and tend to take over the show and shine portion. Well I'd like that to change this year and lets get a great showing of sportbikes and sport touring bikes out for this event.
By All accounts last year was a great event and we at Cassells Insurance would like to bump it up another notch this year.
This is the note I received from my friend Ron at Chrome Dreams to Emcee's the event.
To all of our friends, family, a couple of foes, and those who have supported us in the years past.
Mark your calendars for SUNDAY JUNE 19th, when we’ll be presenting our third annual WINGS & WHEELS Fly & Ride Show and Shine.
Just as last year, the designated charity will be the B.C. Profession Firefighters Burn Fund, specifically the Children’s Burn camp. Last year with your help we were able to make a donation of $2010.10, which was applied towards a deserving child burn victim being able to attend the camp for some healing and revitalization.
This is a family event for children of all ages, especially those big boys with cool toys that they like to show off and get awards for. There will be plenty more to see, do, and eat this year, and because it’s happening on Father’s day, Dad’s are gonna get some special deals!
Up on the WILLIAMS main stage will be The JASON BUIE BAND for the third year with “FRIENDS” kickin it up with their “rockin rhythm & blues”, with sound supplied by Bill Roberts from R&R Music. All three of these sponsors have been with us from the beginning, and we are truly grateful for their support.
We’re still adding to our vendors and trophy sponsors, so if you’re interested in getting involved in this growing event call me (Ron 604-572-6507) to arrange the details. Deadline for artwork submission and payment is May 15th, but the sooner we get your logos the sooner it can be put on advertizing.
Just like the last two years, our PEOPLES CHOICE trophy will be another one of a kind work of art. This year’s will be hand made by a local artist “SAM from Surrey” A.K.A. the guy with the green ‘47 Knuckle head rigid with the chain bars. He hasn’t revealed his idea yet, but having seen the ingenuity on his bike, I’m sure we can expect something unique.
We’re excited to be able to do this in our community and for the kids that benefit from our efforts. We’re looking forward to a great event, and we know that you are too. If you have any ideas as to what we can do to make this event better, by all means, let me know. Stay tuned for further announcements.
