Like the title said. I thought this was a democracy??
Being election year I thought I'd voice my concerns..
BC is acting more and more like a dictatorship than a democracy..
The last ten years its been more prevalent to me...
We have a 2 major private companies that control what we drive and where we drive it..
I mean ICBC is one they license our vehicles, insure our vehicles and determine what the criteria to own a drivers license.. If we get a speeding ticket.. we have to pay them before we can get insurance.. They over inflate our insurance (get private extended insurance to see how much)... Now the over 40km you get your bike impounded... What about the soccer mom in her escalade txting and talking on her phone while lane splitting and changes lanes without signaling.. Who is the more dangerous vehicle? Why dont they get impounded???
TransLink is another one.. They are a private company subsidized by me and you... They don't know how to make and effective commuter line, operate at a loss.. And you and I have to pay there bills.. .. A 1% taxes on property in the last 10 years they increased out fuel by 12c a liter.. They just did it.. No vote no referendum they went to Our Government and they o.k.d it...
Speaking of fuel taxes then there is the 5cents per liter carbon tax on fuel.. The government just went ahead and did it.. Then the Government just went and did the HST... Now the next thing coming down the shit pipe you and I are on the hook for the Olympic village.. A project that was over billed and cant be sold.. Now we have to pay the difference that the builder is at a loss off.. Isn't the development of real estate an investment some times you make money and sometimes you loose money??
When are we gonna say enough is enough? I don't care who you vote for? I'm just wondering why we are just bending over and spreading our posterior and taking it???
I think its time to fight back and say no more..
