Got my first cruiser. I had to... I needed to see why so many are riding these things.
So the test ride went as follows:
Power???? What Power??? It moves ahead when you twist the throttle. Already had it bouncing off the rev limiter. It is not as fast as a 250f dirt bike.
Handling, Whats that??? I had bent both feelers on the foot pegs in the first easy corners. You cant weight pegs when your feet are in front of you. Seat is a mile wide so when you hang a cheek...well your hanging alot. But surprising once your in a corner, it feels nice and planted??? 50kmh corners at 90+ seem ok once you learn to not tip in too aggressive..
Speed; Hahahahahaha......I got it to 160.....thats it...
Comfort: it was very comfortable. except trying to get used to having your feet in front of you.
It wont wheelie....but it does do nice burnouts......I got both wheels off the ground popping off a big speed bump..
I did notice other cruiser riders dont even wave at me???? WTF....Could it be that I was wearing my full coverage helmet and road racing gloves...hahahaha
SO lesson today was it is confirmed....most cruiser riders are ass hats...
The sales guy was telling me some stories about how some guys dress like the village people and think they are cool ....Its all about image....Oh well I guess I will be riding alone.
But gotta say getting back on a bike was so nice!! it's been over a year since I been on the road.
So a cruiser rider with sportbike gear is me!!!
Might have to do a track day with it...hahahaha
