hey guys, recently I have noticed something funny about they way my bike starts. It is an 04 cbr 600rr. This has happened on 2 occasions about 2 days apart. Today I rode to the gas station from my house which is about 3 minutes away. Afterwards, I tried to start up the bike but it wouldn't crank very well. It would cranked very very slowly and while it cranked, the dash lights would disappear. It sound as if the battery was dead. So I push started it and rode it the 3 min home. When I got home, I turned it off and tried to immediately turn it back on. This time, it easily cranked over and started. I checked the battery with a voltmeter and it reads 12.66 volts with the bike off. The battery is new, used for one season. I have however drained it at least 3 times.
One other thing to mention. The first time I saw this happen was when my fan relay died and my bike wnet over 104 degrees celcius while I was stopped in traffic. I turned off my bike while I waited for the light and when I tried to restart it, it exhibited the same problem (would get 1 crank every 2 secs).
Does this sound like my battery has sulfated?
thanks for the insight,
