2000 Honda CBR F4 600cc, Carbureted. 55000kms. Went to start it up, fired up beautifully as always. Was letting it run while putting on my gear and after about 2 min, stalls out. Start it up again, lasts 10 seconds and stalls out again. Turns over, but won't start. I'm guessing not getting fuel.
Kill switch isn’t on, petcock on, not in first gear when trying to start, been run regularly, gas is not old, battery is fine. I'm guessing the plugs are fine as it turns over (but, it still could be). So, I think it's a fuel system problem.
I've checked the lines down to the fuel pump and there is no blockage. I'm guessing that it started by using the gas in the lines from the fuel pump onwards and that it is the source of my problems. But, that's just a guess as I'm not that good technically. I'm doubtful I could do something like clean the carbs myself.
I'd love input before I start swapping out parts/push it to a mechanic/file the serial numbers off and push it into a lake. Cheers.
