Hey all, sitting a bit bored in the hotel so thought I would post some of our amazing journey so far.
Trip begins doing the regular Sedro Wooley, Cascades, and Winthrop. Was awesome running into some familiar faces
Our plan was to be in Republic our first night. Success, but not much there.
We decided to continue on to Kettle Falls in hopes of something more then a gas station.
No such luck and it was getting late but continued on to Colville. Quiet little town but still woke to out neighbour being tossed in the back of a police car.
Day 2 We set out to Newport, Bonner's Ferry, continued to follow the #2 to Kalispell. Was a lot of beautiful, twisty roads. (Flowery Trail Road was freaking awesome, one twists led into the next the whole distance). Was happy to see a straight stretch) Road conditions varied greatly. Some roads were freshly paved, others crater filled. Had a couple experiences with our friend bambi.
Ran across the neatest little bike shop. This shop was full of old Honda bikes and dust covered 1970's 2 strokes. There must have been a 100 bikes stuffed in this little shop. No such thing as isle browsing. They were all leaning on each other.
Up and off to ride Glacier national Park.
"WOW" Some road conditions were rough but they were fixing as we rode threw to the East side.
Fabulous ice cream on the east side of Glacier.
From Glacier National Park, East side, the roads all become dead straight.
For an amazing amount of time, rolling on the throttle at 100mph +, feeling like your going nowhere. Finally with a sore ass and hands we close day 3 in Great Falls, Montana.
Day 4 A great day to just explore Great Falls and hang out.
Sadly now it is time to turn around and start making our way home.
