How much did you pay for your Duc Streetfighter S?

A family member is interested in a Streetfighter S. He contacted Vancouver BMW Ducati and they are offering to waive the freight, but nothing else. Anyone hve experience dealing with them? How much were they willing to take off the MSRP for you of which model?

This is the bike in question.

There are not enough sold around here to get any benchmark...if he wants it,
he pays whatever he can negotiate, there's no "magic" number or set % off MSRP.

Buyers typically do not have leverage on unique models that have little to no
competition. Would he consider importing, and saving $5000?

Just a couple examples, I'm sure there are many more of you looked:

This one was listed, close to home, for $6k less, with mods, last year, when it was a year NEWER:

I think I am the family member that was inquirin! (thanks starting this post for me).

I spoke to a ducati streetfighter owner from Ottawa who is selling with 10,000km and a bunch of upgrades for about $16,500.

He says ducati does not do recall clearance letters from the US to Canada. (I have no idea what this means and how it will affect my purchase).

Either way taxes+shipping costs+ headache of transfering warranty makes me want to get a fresh new streetfighter at 0km so I can baby it from the start.

$17,000 was the asking price when I was going to buy this bike locally in Nanaimo when the dealership was going bankrupt. I have a feeling they transfered this bike form Nanaimo to victoria, and then back to Van (as there would be a bigger market in vancouver for this type of a bike).

We'll see how much we can bargain them down in the next couple of weeks (With this recession, I wonder how many ppl will be bidding on the bike!?)

I would hate to lose it by waiting too long.

What recession are you talking about? Ducati North American sales are up 23% over last year. Don't snooze 'cause you know what will happen.

14g's used @ 2700miles if you're willing to import yourself.

The dealer for that SF should be able to get you the recall letter as a condition of sale.....

I think you're mistaken, a Ducati Streetfighter, new, at a dealer, for $10k, not likely.

A few people here have scored some great deals from this dealership over the years. 10K sounds too good to be true but someone here bought a KTM Adv 990 for 10K at this place.

Or maybe Streetfighter without 'S', it seems like you pay a few thousands more for an S lol. It's worth giving them a call, I was told they let us test ride most of bikes they have in stock.
