Hey there. I am new to the forum, and just put a downpayment on a CBR 125 for my first bike and will have it in my garage sometime late September/early October if everything goes as planned. If it has not snowed by then (crossing fingers) I hope to be able to ride a few times (Hopefully as much as possible) before winter hits us. My issue is, I know nobody here where I live (Barriere: 45 mins from kamloops) that has a vehicle/motorcycle and will want to supervise me riding (I only have my L). If i could follow i group ride i gladly would, but sadly my riding restrictions dont allow me to go over 60k. So i would either be slowing everyone down or just not be able to keep up. But i would be verry glad if someone could come out here and show me the ropes of riding and share their skills, also making a dream of mine (I have wanted a sports bike since i was about 10, im now 20) really come to life. It would also be alot more fun than doing circles in my driveway haha. I have seen people post for noob training in the lower mainland area, but none up here unless i missed a post. I would go to a school to learn, but i also know of none up here. If nobody is willing to volunteer, I can pay you for the trouble. (we can agree on an hourly price or something to that extent) But you must be over the age of 25 and have a full class 6 licence. Also i have full gear and everything allready so no worries about me being a squid, or a speed freak. I just want to ride. Thanks for your time guys, hoping to see good results.
Update: I have had my bike for about a month now and a little over 500k under my belt so im not a total noob anymore if people are still up for a ride. I personally love riding the Agot Bay Rd (right besdie the old burned down mill) Has a few sharp corners on it and some decent pavement with not too much gravle.
