i was out and about last night on my TLR and got stuck in a police road block in surrey . they were checking for drunk drivers, seatbelts and free donuts.
when i got to the front of the line i was waved over to the side of the road with the other 'criminals'. this young (about 20-22y/o) quite pretty lady rcmp officer
asked me to shut the bike off and dismount it so i did. she wanted my licence and registration so i gave it to her then i got told to take off my helmut and i did that. she then checked my eyes and asked me some questions, then told me that i am not drunk . i said i dont drink, she said thats good BUT she's going to give me a ticket for no seatbelts!!!! I as politely as i can informed her that motorcycles don't have seatbelts and if she doesn't believe me go ask a superior officer. so off she goes with my licence and reggie and comes back 5 or 10 minutes later and apologizes to me for her indiscretion. she then tells me she is a rookie and still in training and has absolutly no knowledge of any kind about motorcycles. she then looked over my bike and was asking questions on how it worked and i answered them. she said she has never even sat on a bike before so i let her sit on the tlr. she looked facinated by it and curious too.
this conversation went on for a half hour till the other officer came back with my documents and apologized for the inconvienence i then opened up the back of the bike put the reggie back in its place, smelled the seat, geared back up and left giggling all the way back to bby.
