Two bikers down on sea to sky

Two bikers were seriously injured after crashing their cruisers today on their way to squamish! They had to be air lifted to hospital
The helicopter was parked in the middle of the road traffic backed up forever
    Hope these guys are ok

Guess they're impounding the wrong types of bikes/riders ...

Maybe sportbikes with skilled riders going 140 km/hr ain't the problem?

Wifes uncle ALMOST went down on his Harley last week. Blew a tire out just before a quick (harley quick-so not very) right hander.

Another good reason NOT to ride to Squamish. You go up there for a cup of tea and you wait 4 hours or more trying to get home.

Hopefully these people survive. When they helivac you and close the highway for 4 hours to investigate, it's normally because it's
either a fatal, or potentially fatal accident investigation.

Another post states he was turned back prior to this spot, I think.

I rode the S2S 4 times, Tue-Friday, no traffic or rcmp. I think the weekend, unless very early, is not the best time to ride it. Although a dumb arsed cube driver managed to throw his van into the dich just before Furry Creek.

Crashes can happen anywhere? Looks like riders error if you ask me.

With the utmost respect to the people who have crashed... in my experience, most cruiser riders have very limited riding
capabilities... and their machines are no more capable than they are. That is the sad reality for the vast majority out there.

Unfortunate. Sounds like a "hose your buddy". I have to agree with Bandito's and K-Rod's observations.

On the line of "hose your buddy", perhaps they ran over your monsterous cock?

No, that would leave a mark. I did run over a bunched up soaking wet sock once while riding with liketoride. Of course it was in a speedy corner (and camouflaged by a scattering of dry autume leaves). That woke me up very bigtime. So I get your point. "Hosing you buddy" is a line we use in relative work skydiving when you impede or take out a team mate while rotating through freefall formations.

Sounds like one cruiser tried to keep up to the other passing a car, and did not realize that their bikes have shit
    brakes.

That or the rider panicked, grabbed a hand full of brake and went straight off the road.

Not to make it sounding so insensitive to the riders...but...why would the first rider slowdown so abruptly that the second crash into him? I would conclude that the first was afraid to be impounded as he had sped up above 120kph into impounding territory and feared of impoundment?
