How many of you folks have taken any rider training courses over and above the basic "get my class 6 woo-hoo" course? I'm talking about traffic safety, emergency maneuvers, situational awareness - not getting a knee down.
This is turning into the worst year for m/c accidents in my memory, with at least one fatality in my personal circle so far this summer - which was an "experienced" 30 plus year rider who didn't know how to handle a simple situation.
I know some of you are seasoned track riders and have some major bike control chops (which may or may not help you in that unexpected traffic emergency), but for the rest of us mere mortals, what's our excuse? Don't let your buddies try and teach you how to survive out there, save a few bucks and get some professional instruction for fucks sake.
