Hey, so I was talking with a buddy last night who was telling me about gallbladder flushes. He claims that he does them once a year and that they are important to do if you are educated about it.
apparently he drinks a very large amount of apple juice and eats low fat and dairy free foods for 6 days (the malic acid in apple juice is supposed to soften gall stones). Meanwhile, he has a full 250ml cup of olive oil every day with some lemon juice in it to lubricate his digestive system. Lastly after 6 days, he has a bunch of epsom salts, more olive oil and fasts for 24 hours. At this point, he takes a massive shit in which many (up to 40) small (about 1 cm) hard bright green stones come out. He claims that the whole process has loosened up and caused the gall stones (which everyone has) to be flushed out in his stool
I'm really not sure how i feel about the legitimacy of the whole idea or not. Was wondering if anyone here has any experience with these sorts of flushes? any arguments either way?
