Riding back to Vancouver from Edmonton
I am sitting in Edmonton right now and I was planning a route back home.
Anyone have any suggestions. I have done highway 1 and 5 in the past.
I was thinking of going edmonton - jasper - banff via 93 - cranbrook - highway 3 back.

Just leave now, don't look back, and embrace the inevitable boredom, HaHa, ride safe.
My family lives in Edmonton and I have ridin there many times both alone and with my wife. I think I've gone every which way except down from the North. I often take 16, The Yellowhead to Jasper then down the Ice Fields through Banff and down 93 to Radium Hot Springs, South to Cranbrook. West on #3 home.
Or stay on the YellowHead to #5 and South through Valemont all the way to Kamloops then West on 108 to Cache Creek and down the Canyon,
I've even taken the Yellow Head all the way to Prince George then South on #97 to almost Cache Creek on West #99 through Lilooet over the Duthy to Pemberton, Whistler and home. Edmonton to Quesnel is almost 850 kms. You can even carry on from Prince George to Prince Rupert and take a ferry to the Island.
I overnighted in Quesnel b/c Barkerville is only 70 odd kms from there and is well worth the trip for a 1/2 day. Watch for deer on this road.
Have fun, be safe.
head south to San Diego, then north up the coast ...
