WE ARE GOOD TO GO. ROSTER IS FULL. EVERYONE MEETS AT THE HOTEL SATURDAY AFTERNOON/EVENING OCTOBER 1
The plan is to organize an even number of riders to truck/trailer bikes to Anderson, CA (about 10mins South of Redding) in early October, set up base camp, and explore some of the nicest twisties I've ridden within day's drive of Vancouver, albeit a long 12-14 hour day drive.
One day down, one day back, and 4 days of riding. Plan to take the Friday at the end of the trip off work for two reasons (1) while down there we may just decide to stay another night, and (2) we may need a rest and or bike repair day. Will will make this an annual trip as a way to extend our riding season a little longer.
I've done a northern Cali trip 3 times now, all 10 day trips, and ridden every back road between the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe, and everything north to Oregon border. While the distance each day is only about 500kms, the fact that 80% of the roads are very windy coupled with the shorter days (7am sunrise and 7pm sunset), it will be a full days riding each day.
DAY 1: The 36 & 299 Loop (503kms):http://g.co/maps/93u62
DAY 2: The Redding/Chico Figure Eight (502kms):http://g.co/maps/s73wx[/URL]
DAY 3: The Willow Creek Loop via 299 and 96 (543kms): http://g.co/maps/dpgsd

Current committed riders:
We were successful in sourcing enough trailers within our own group, foregoing the need to rent anything.
This trip is only for the very experienced street riders as these roads take some serious concentration at speed. It's only open to riders Elevation and I have ridden with and trust. If you have to ask how much you should budget for food, booze, hotel etc, this trip is probably not for you. Two guys in a room will set you back $50/night each. If you are interested, please PM me AND Elevation.
I'll update this original post as plans develop.
