While working at Western Powersports today, I saw a couple, maybe in their early to mid 40's, looking at the beanie helmets.
I went over to help, the woman asked something about safety.
I then proceeded to tell them about the safety of the beanies, compared to open face, compared to full face.
But, but, but....
Killed ALL their objections!
Too heavy! <-once it's on your head your never even feel it! and it's not that heavy.
Poor visibility! <-better visibility than a car, better than a beanie! (With a beanie, you have to wear goggles to protect your eyes, cutting down visibility!)
Don't need all that protection, don't plan to go down! <-if I could plan when I was gonna wipe out, I couild ride naked every day but the wipeout day! Then I would wear full gear for just that day!
Yup, I was in a groove!
Oh yeah, his helmet was purchased in 1993!!! <-safety kinda expires after a few years!
They left HAPPY, with two new full face helmets!
And, he let me toss his old beanie in the garbage!
