So many of you know of the Leatt brace for motocross. They have now come out with the street version and its called the STX Road.
I got one of the first ones to come to Canada. I wore it on the street a couple of times and took it to the track day on Monday in the pissing rain. Here is what I thought of it.
The fit is great. once you get it fit on and set to the right size for you, you dont even know its there. It doesnt make it hard to do shoulder checks, tuck on the highway or sit upright around town. It fits around the hump on the jacket.
What I didnt like about it.... I wore it on the track. I have a Joe Rocket speedmaster suit. The hump is too big on the back for the wings to go around or over. It pushes up on your neck when you lean over. The suit is thicker then a regular jacket and add the back proctector in and its even thicker. That being said, it does work for most suits. Larry Pegram is using one as is Ruben Xaus in World Superbike.
Al in all I would give it a great review. Comfy, you dont even know its there. Add the safty into it, its a no brainer.
just my 2 cents
