The crappy weather was moving in quick so we decided against the Winthrop ride out. Deciding to get as far out as possible we hit the I-5 for a full day, 600 + k's Sucked but beat the rain. First night spent in Albany and relieved this will be the last long jaunt on that slab.
Day 2 Day 5 camera packed it in so a quick stop to grab another, so ignore date and times
A beautiful day in the making. One little blip, not mentioning the wheel weight that disappeared off my new tires (front). Grateful the booked Honda shop took pity on me and fixed me up. 2 hours later, on the road again. Left Albany on the #20 off to Bend. Taking the #97 to La Pine, #31 on to Silver Lake, and finally the #395 to Lake View.
While waiting for my bike we were checking out a few items.
Planning on lunch in Reno we con't down the #395 to Susanville and finally roll into Reno. We grabbed an amazing room at the Silver Legacy. Coming into this hotel covered in bug guts, sweating, and a little smelly, sure brings a little attention to you. (people sure stare) Sweet deals to be had. $100 for a night in heaven. These rooms are 500 square feet, huge jet tubes in the room, and a $40 ticket to use any where in the hotel. Paid for an amazing prime rib dinner with all the fixings. Wandered around playing tourist for the rest of the day into the night.
Onward we go. Jumping on the #80 to Truckee, back in California we are. Took the #89 all the way up to the #36 to Red bluff.
The most amazing roads to ride are coming !!!!!
