Would you call police if you knew who they were looking for?

Police are currently looking for a rider who rode away from a crash after Air 1 requested the rider to remain with the bike, this after being followed for a period of time for allegedly riding above the speed limit. A video was published, and further details can be found here.

If you knew or suspected who the rider was in this particular circumstance, would you call police as requested? This is an anonymous poll. Comments are optional.

+1000..... look what happened to the young kid on the "protest" ride... cops made him have his bike towed at his expense because of a busted signal light...

I would have booked it out of there too.... " ATTENTION!!....stay and wait for ground units to come and assfuck you" sorry... can't quite hear you.... lots of noise here at ground level....

I'm sometimes against the whole "if no one got hurt, who cares" because if someone started shooting their AK-47s in the woods and no one was hurt or would've, I'd still report them for owning one.

But in this case, no one was exploited or robbed or anything like that and it's over, so leave it alone.

I just googled Fail to obey police direction - a traffic offense, which I guess is meant for police directing traffic. Can someone enlighten me on why he didn't get the criminal charge Evading police?

I wouldn't rat, but that's just me, its the police job to figure it out on their own, what do we pay them for if we could do the job ourselves?
So if they are that useless that they can't find who they are looking for on their own? What good are they?

Ride at your own risk, that is the rule.

I wouldn't, grew up in AB, very gun-friendly, who the hell cares what "model" gun someone shoots in the woods, irrelevant.

It's the equivalent of distinguishing and treating the riders on the video differently, based on riding sportbikes or HD's.

I better shut up, or this thread will get derailed prematurely....it's inevitable, but it's just too soon!

I know you don't mean that, but to play devil's advocate, that's a dumb comment. So if you had clues for a murderer, you wouldn't volunteer the info to the police.

Then again.. bad example considering this case is not fairly comparable to a murder investigation.

    Anyways, where them hoes at?

btw, I suspect you of being an ak-47 loving terrorist, CHIA. Reporting your ass right now!

I didn't vote on your poll.

I like living in a society wiith laws, and I don't see any reason to cover for people that flagreantly disregard them.

Sure, I don't like some of the laws, or perhaps I think some of them are too harsh. But I don't get to pick and choose which ones I will obey, that is just a path to lawlessness, and you wouldn't like a society wiith no laws or no police force. If I don't like the laws, I can always put my efforts towards getting them changed. Until then, I'm going to follow them.

What is this "nobody likes a tattle tale" crap? Again, are we in grammar school?

Some of you just don't think speeding is a crime. Or you think "victimless crimes" are not a crime. Or whatever. Don't you see the slippery slope you are on when individuals interpret the law and decide what they see as victimless? Or what their own moral compass says is OK? If somebody committed a crime that you felt WAS a crime, your opinion of "Tattle tale" would differ. Especially if that crime directly affected you.

Just because excessive speed is a "victimless" crime MOST of the time, doesn't mean it is OK to do it until you screw up one day and it claims a victim.

But I guess some don't understand that...
Physics? Bah. I'll take the Bugs Bunny approach. I'm sure it will serve me well.

Nope, being dumb as bricks, not knowing how to ride, and having a busted up bike is punishment enough.
My bikes: A random assortment of junk I found in a barn and fixed up.
