I was looking at google maps and looking at where I have been and where I might like to go next.
I thought maybe some people on here would have some insight into what states offered the best all around riding conditions.
Those conditions would include:
Most entertaining routes
Least amount of traffic enforcement
and whatever else you think is appropriate.
I personally have been through most of Washington and Oregon and some of Montana, Idaho and California as well as very small parts of Nevada and Wyoming.
I have no real desire to go any farther east than the eastern state line of Montana and Wyoming.
I would like to explore Utah,Colorado,Arizona and maybe Nevada,so anyone who has ridden those states I would like to hear your opinion on them.
So heres my take on the states I have been through.
Washington: Generally good road conditions, friendly people ,fair amount of cops but some areas are completely free of them and anyone else for that matter.
Oregon: Roads are very good very similar to Washington good idea stay under 100mph as that can lead to a night in jail ,that said lots of open area that one can travel at high speeds.
Idaho: Faster speed limits than previous listed states, nice roads, friendly people and not many cops.
Montana: Really fast speed limits, almost no enforcement outside of city's,no excessive speed tickets and straight roads that go for days.If you have a Hayabusa or zx14 this is where you should go.
Lots of gambling and guns and also atv's on the roads.
California: Some great roads and some enforcement mostly on major roads.Lower speed limits than Idaho or Montana.
People vary from nice to flaky.
As far as Nevada and Wyoming go I have not gone deep enough into either state to make any kind of evaluation.
