Well, after a nice backroad ripper today, decided to stop off at the Langley
Cruise In. What a show that is. All sorts of fantastic cars.. bikes.. you name
There is one disturbing thing about the cruise in. That is the Barnes HD
What a noise making fucking racket piece of shit that is.
The bike that it's setup with is so much of a piece of shit, it needs a 2
foot incline to "get" the front wheel up.. and some genius put a fucking
obnoxious exhaust on it... probably to attract attention to the show.
Loud pipes save... whatever the fuck they save. Sure didn't save my
Tulip after tulip jumps on... rev's the piss out of it, makes a bunch of noise,
and the finally yanks hard enough, or leans back with their beer belly to
jack the thing up to 12 oclock... and proceeds to rev away as if they
are actually doing a wheelie. Or they are pushed up by the guy running it.
I wanted to get on it and rev the fucking shit out of it just to blow the
motor up and put and end to the story.
Finally something shit the bed, there was fluid all under the unit. I'm
not sure if someone pissed themselves doing a "wheelie" or if the cooling
unit for the dyno wheel finally blew up under the strain of 45hp of this
shitbox mounted to it.. and the constant bumping off the rev limiter
by the "riders".
If you see that bike for sale at Barnes, "demo", or slightly used,
stay the hell away.
The good part was, the BCCOM booth was only 12 feet away, so you
could talk about the loud pipes not being obnoxious, but nobody could
They did have these very lovely looking two women working there. One
of them whispered sweet nothings in my ear, and took $45 out of
my wallet in the process. Something I would have never done in years
gone by, but now I think is well spent.
I was going to ask Adele about the loud pipes issue, but I couldnt
hear much over this blaring shitbox... and the ambulance that
rocked up, probably dealing with someone who had a stroke due
to the racket going on.
Note to Harley. The only bikes you had that were capable of
a wheelie... were axed when cut Buell. The best bikes you ever made.
