Ok, so here is my situation.
I ride a 2001 R1, it is my first bike and I can ride with confidence and have no problems with as little experience as I have taking corners and any resonable speed smoothly.
I just restored a 2002 GSXR750 that was lowsided. Just fairing damage and rear subframe bent a little. the bar ends werent even scraped and the swing arm spools were lightly scuffed. Steering was slightly out but I loosened triple trees, made true visually and re-tightened. Bike drives straight as an arrow. I can let go of the bars and it stays dead straight but HERE IS MY PROBLEM!! It takes so much damn force on the bars to lean into a corner and the bike tries 10X as hard as my R1 to stand back up! Low speed cornering is so bad I look like a learner turning a corner warbling around! The steering geometry of the GSXR feels so different in a very bad way than the R1 im used to. What the heck is wrong with this bike? below are pics of the front and rear tires of the GSXR and before the resto on crash side and after resto. The tires are worn but I dont think they should cause extremely hard cornering! Please help!
