Question what 2012 new SUV to get between $50K and $60k?

Looking to lease (company vehicle) an SUV and finally get out of the coupe. I have a price range $50-$60K. Since I currently drive Infiniti, i'm biased to like the new 2012 FX35. I also kind of like the Audi Q5. I don't really like the idea of driving american, and most other European models are over 60K (BMW X5, Mercedes, etc).

    any thoughts?

From the two, Audi hands down. Can't stand the look of the Infiniti SUVs, and after having been in my buddy's G35, I'd never consider an Infiniti.

How about finding a slightly older X5? I'm pretty sure I've seen some dealerships offer leases on used vehicles, too.

Hyundai Santa Fe. Not a full sized SUV, but quite a nice vehicle when optioned out fully. I loved mine when I leased it. Zero issues and great fuel economy.

Why limit yourself to SUV size? Go Hummer, baby. Better yet, a semi tractor.

You forget that the point is not to get from a to b. the point is to have a more prestigious badge on the back

Or the newest status symbol, the Range Rover Evoque!

It won Motor Trend's SUV of the year, apparently.

I kind of like it ... though I test drove the Q5 and liked it, too. Just a bit big for what I needed ...

The Evoque will come in 2 and 4 door, so you might not have to get out of a 2 door after all. It also starts at $47,xxx.

Two that I would look at:

Toureg TDI (20 mpg), Lexus RX 450h Hybrid (32 mpg). I'm so fed up with the price of gas

2009 Blue/White Suzuki Gladius - blue shorty levers, IXIL Exhaust, foldable bar-end mirrors.

Didn't Victoria Beckham assist in the design on the Evoque? I don't know if that effects your decision at all but, it's good to know.

Sorry to threadjack, but I might be potentially at looking at changing cars in the next couple years, and wife wants me to buy a SUV. I would like to get one that has standard transmission. Apart from Subaru, who else makes a SUV with standard transmission?
