first off, it doesn't matter why I want to, or if you believe this is feasible or not. I want to be able to transport both of my kayaks (only weigh 42lbs each and are 9' 10" long and 24" wide) behind my bike without creating a fiasco for myself someday in court. Is it possible to register and insure a u-built trailer with ICBC for the purpose of towing it with a motorcycle?
I've been tossing this idea around for some time now and obviously I understand the difficulties such as the change in riding dynamics, lighting, fastening to the bike, proper DOT wheels, etc... I even have the frame design and suspension worked out but there's no point in starting to gather the materials unless I know I can make it legal.
I have seen many cargo trailers behind touring bikes like the goldwing so I know there is a provision hidden in the MVA for such a thing but due to my horrible lack of google based skills, I came up empty handed.
Anyone on here have a definitive answer for me?
