I'm sure it'll be all over the news shortly, but there was a stabbing at Tupper Secondary today. My neighbour lives across the street and called me with her observations.
The victim, a female student, was seen walking out of the school under her own power to the ambulance. The school is under full lock-down with lots of VPD response (SWAT team, numerous cars, AirOne, ambulance firetrucks etc.) and lots of media around.
Just FYI - this is a wonderfully diverse and friendly neighbourhood, and Tupper is an exceptional school. I have two sons in Grades 9 & 11 who are thriving there.
A tragically bad mistake by a troubled adolescent and it could have happened anywhere. I hope the victim is OK!
I also hope the media provide informative, un-slanted, un-sensationalistic coverage (well, one can't dream, can't one?)
