Question about 2000 yz125 burning out plugs
Have a buddy who bought a used yz125 for his son.
The bike bogs in 1st and 2nd gear then in 3rd runs ok. He walked it out 3 km bike died. Took plug out when he got home and it was completely burnt out.
Just wondering what would cause that
A few ideas

check that the air filter isn't completely gummed up, fuel mixture is 32:1, clean the carb out and verify that the jetting is proper while you're there.
Is the plug all oily and black? smells like gas? It could be running too rich, maybe its time for a piston and ring? My Honda cr250 had the same problem from low compression. Finally I replaced the piston and ring and its all good.
What do you mean by plug is burnt out???
As in the electrode is burnt off as in very white, or clogged up black as the ace of spades on a dark night, as in its getting way too much oil causing it to foul and fail to spark, and when you scrape it the electrode underneath is all there??
Last time I saw you I was changing plugs on my misfiring Vincent in the cold pissing rain on the way to Winthrop, and I bet you thought I was a lucky bastard!
But I can read a plug.
