Noobie here when it comes to suspension so please forgive the ignorance.
I have a 1978 Yamaha SR500 with Ohlins rear suspension. It is a single piston 36mm shock with piggy back resevoirs. It is height adjustable.
I know a lot of you folks have gone out to see Rod @ RMS Suspensions to have your suspension adjusted. I managed to get the bike last year, the old shocks were no good anymore so I installed the Ohlins at the end of the season managing to only ride TWICE before insurance ran out. I have absolutely no intention to race at the track nor do much highway riding. Most of my rides will be in the city for commuting purposes.
Should I ride out the bike as-is for the springs to settle first or should I just get them adjusted properly according to my height/weight right away? Any tips and suggestions appreciated. Thank you!
