A tad busy for my tastes. I don't mind guys having fun on an empty road but that's going to end bad eventually if it hasn't already.

Holy shit X2, I remember seeing this in a movie theater back in the 70s

Rumor has it it was Niki Lauda at the wheel, but was highly illegal so no names were ever published, Claude Lelouch was briefly arrested for it. Filmed 5:30 AM in Paris live, one take.

    Turn your volume up.

That was my first thought, since they are driving on the opposite side of the road and all.

Car wasn't going fast at all.
Low angle camera and a sound track that makes you think he's shifting a 12000 rpm's.

The end gets pretty interesting... zero margin for error. Entertainment value for sure.

Are you retarded? Look at the speed in relation to ALL THE OTHER VEHICLES.

Lots of calculations have been done on the speed, fastest he hit was 220 kph, average around 120 kph.
It was filmed in Claude's Mercedes and sound was dubbed from a Ferrari.
Still a cool vid IMO. Specially in 1976.

Adds to the flavour a bit....

Definitely filmed in hong kong (somewhere):

    1. too bad we don't have roads like that here.
    2. the car is riced out (definetly asian)
    3. newbie driver...brakes on all the turns (my grandma can do that!)
    4. no power sliding or drifting
    5. could had bought a better camera or go pro.
    6. speed limit there is 50km/h...not so fast. the (red) taxicabs are built in the 1980s

^ this guy's from Richmond. I hereby appoint him expert of all things related to Asian street racing. Therefore, #2 and 6 are truth and #3, 4, 5 are valid critiques.
