I just got an '06-'07 slip-on for my '09 and I need to chop my welded-on cat off. It's a common procedure for my bike since they started welding the cats on in '08 but you can chop the sucker off and get rid of it and the '06-'07 slip-ons fit like a glove.
Anyways - getting in there with a hacksaw is not really a very viable option and I hear the best tool for the job is a sawzall (reciprocating hacksaw). I've exhausted my list of friends with tools and I think I'm going to have to loan/rent one. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good place locally that can hook me up (I'm in Burnaby). I only need the thing for 10 minutes to chop piece of pipe so buying one would be a waste of money.
Anyone had experience with any of the tool loan places in the area? Any recommendations? I'd just get it chopped at a shop and ride it home but I don't think the popo / general population would be too cool with getting their ear-drums blown out (not to mention my engine valves if it works anything like a car exhaust).
