I'm planning on insuring the bike in the coming weeks and riding to work when the weather permits to take advantage of the HOV lane.
If you ride in either direction between the Portman bridge exit and willingdon, the HOV lane seems to be dangerous for motorcycles. There's a continuous strip of raised asphalt for most of the distance exactly in dominant lane position. This strip also curves and ends up all over the place.
This forces the rider to either go into the oil slicked middle, or come uncomfortably close to the next lane of traffic. The left side is useless as well due to the various grates and bumps.
I'm sure most of you have seen the poor state the road is in. I'm riding a Ninja 250, so it doesn't have big grippy tires either. Any tips on how to navigate it safely?
