So I went and bought some new prescription sunglasses because my contacts were bothering my eyes and lens crafters is having a 50% off lenses sale, and my work will pay me for them.
So I was going to get some Oakley's but they are not included in the sale, they cost about $500 and take two weeks to make.
So I got some Ray-Bans for $250 regular $390.
The problem is I had no choice as far as them being polarized.
I have tried polarized lenses before and found them to have some issues.
In some aspects they work good for me at work driving boats as they cut glare off the water but can cause issues with video screens and gauges.
When I tried some cheap polarized glasses before they drove me nuts on my bike, all kinds of random things glitter or have some distortion from tar snakes to windshields.
I find it less of a problem with the more expensive ones but it still happens and more so with my face shield down.
I have only tried them on my dual sport with a clear shield but I remember the cheap ones were really bad in my street helmet.
Anyway if anyone has any tips on dealing with this post up and if you need prescription shades lens crafters sale is on till the end of the month.
