the layout of the track from that perspective looks quite similar to pacific raceway.
as Matt saiz fun as hell.
i find it hilarious how your buddy was closing in on everyone who went flying past him in the straights as soon as they got to any corner

Thanks for posting looks like alot of fun. Iv'e never done a track day just the ART class through WCSB and that was a blast. Hopefully get to try the track soon.
Then Nubs on 1198's blast past you on the straights and hold you up in the corners. Every time you pass them it happens all over again lol.
I won't book another track day with them except at maybe ORP because it doesn't fill up as bad.
The Ridge is 2.4 miles long and anyone who signed up for this Track day knew in advance that there really were only two groups available as the usual beginner, 100 group, was reserved for WMRRA's New Racer School. That meant that some 100 riders were signing up for 200 level and some 200 riders were in the 300 level. We were all made aware of it and as it was the first track day of the year, it was cool, and the track was green, we were all warned in the AM to be responsible and patient. Not an issue all day - the track is huge and SUPER wide - if anybody claims they get held up there they are in the wrong sport and should take up knitting or golf.
The track is amazingly safe, flowing, and technical. Once the final touches are complete, it'll be a first class facility.
2-Fast had a rough couple years and last year was a bounce back year thankfully so they never lost any money but yeah, the groups were full at PR and PIR. It's a fucking track day afterall, who can't take a corner or two to make a safe pass on a slower rider?
If you won't ride with them any longer that just means more room for the rest of us who do enjoy awesome, safe, amazing track days. Enjoy your latte all by yourself at Starbucks.
That looks awsome! Gotta get there for a track day this year.
And I will enjoy my coffee at sbux
I'd go up into the expert group, but I am afraid that I'm too slow and will hold people like yourself up :P
Looking forward to May 5 and 6
Lionel......what kind of gearing do you think will work best for a 600 ?
Great vid, thanks for sharing.....man, that makes me want a track bike, and learn to play SO bad!!
Keep in mind it was cool and my first time there, I'll be knocking 10 seconds/lap off those lap times after a nice, dry double header and my suspension settings and gearing might have to change to compensate but last weekend they were great.
I had 15/46 and it worked quite well.
