Best internet & cable provider?

Have never been a fan of cable, tv tends to be a time sucker but I need internet for work and figured might as well bundle it with tv

What is everyone using out there?

Who has the best options, price, reliable service ect??

Have heard good and bad about Telus tv

I have Shaw for internet and TV and am very happy, it always works.

Shaw because of the speed and the price. We pay $80 a month after tax for high-speed extreme, full cable with HD channels. Their billing and customer service is total shit though.

Telus seems to have great customer service and billing, but their fastest Internet package is 15Mbps. Fuck that, my iPad is faster.

We switched from Bell to Telus and regretted it. Quality of picture went way down in HD. Less free HD channels, no time shifting in HD. Interface was terrible and apparently there was "no way to block porn previews". So if you want a shitty package and your 12 & 13 year old kids looking at porn previews - go with telus. Customer service with Telus was also moronic.

Cut off all cable last July. We now download any show we want and watch it in HD for nothing. Sucks for live sports but I'm not a huge fan anyway.

I've always loved shaw. They called me up out of the blue a couple months ago and dropped my bills by 50% and gave me more services on both of my accounts.

Shaw cable package.... Phone Internet and TV combined with sports hd the basic hd covers everything you'll probably watch

My monthly bill is 118 a month

When you call them tell them your looking at Telus for services but am calling you to see what shaw has to offer

I'm very happy with my Shaw internet. I use it for business, and it's consistently fast. I've had Telus call me a number of times saying that "My internet is a shared connection" and "It's not as fast because it's shared". I say, SFW, it may be shared, but I have a 100mbit service and the slowest I've had it go to at peak times is about 45mbit, which is still 20mbit faster than they can offer. During the day, I consistently measure about 90mbit on their Broadband 100 service.

I love that Telus argument that only actually was viable 10 years ago.
