Thanks for that. It reminded me of crashing so many times on dirt.
Sounds like a nice guy though and I feel bad for him even though he did some pretty novice things. I did have to laugh as I watched him work through his nerves...been there also.
Came across this video clip on BARF, thought it might be useful in pointing what not to do.
Wrongs:
Riding in center position of lane on wet pavement.
Going over slippery white painted road signs.
Grabbing front brake.
Not slowing down earlier.
No abs.
Weak swearing.
te tee ... te te tee ...... te tee ...te te tee............ te tee .

Bike seemed in remarkably decent condition, considering.
I've had one of those moments in Richmond going over the painted yellow lines at the intersection of #3 road and williams when they were working on the road there. In the rain and had to leave my lane because it was all chewed up from the road work, and go over the slick yellow line. I felt the rear wheel skid about 4-5 inches (guessing) and then it caught again, but I was aware going onto it that I wasn't going to brake and to maintain the throttle. Was still a good indication to myself as a new rider that when wet, painted lines of any kind are NOT for riding over.
I hate to agree with Don, but yeah, too much front brake and lack of appreciation of slick those big painted areas can be. Right up there with manhole covers.
Looks like there was a helluva lot of painted stuff on that road, hard to miss it all. Too fast for the conditions given the skill of the rider.
If you listen to the Video, It doesn't look like it was a front brake issue, you can hear it rev up just before it crashes.
My guess is that the rear end got loose and he could not recover, not a front brake crash.

What that guy said, harsh downshift that got him skittering. Maybe bumps and oil down too.
Is this the recovered Bandito footage?
This is definately caused by front brake on white paint. There is no and - if - or butt's.
If he'd been in a better lane position, he could have avoided the paint entirely.
Noob crash.
