Just bought my 2010 Ninja 250 and declared its value at $2500.
As a driver I would say I am relatively safe. No accidents since I was 17 (I'm 21 now), I keep my distance, shoulder check all the time, don't mind getting to places a little slower, etc. I don't have any experience on a motorcycle but I have registered for the Pacific Riding School course that starts in two weeks.
For full coverage of my Ninja I would pay $2000 a year. Personally I feel that the extension third party liability ($82) and collision ($591) won't be of much use but I am considering getting the comprehensive ($714) since I hear that lots of people get their bikes knocked over when away and stuff.
Am I naive to think that I don't need full coverage? How much are parts for a Ninja if I were to damage them? Thanks!
