Btw, I hated that the RCMP reclassified the T-97. I was dead set on getting one too.
You are debating yourself......you do realize that, right?

I'm just here for the intelligent conversation.
All I need to say is this:
if you're a convicted/suspected thief, the police need a warrant to enter your home.
if you're a convicted/suspected murderer, the police need a warrant to enter your home.
if you're a convicted/suspected pedophile, the police need a warrant to enter your home.
If you have firearms registered in your name... no warrant needed for the police to enter.

    Section 102

Now imagine if the police could enter any of your houses without a warrant. All they need is "reasonable" notice, or "reasonable" doubt that you'll allow entry. It's total bullshit.

There's a difference between knowing what SHOULD be and WANTING something to be.

I want a T97. Sure. At the expensive of other people being able to gun run? No. It's called thinking unselfishly.

And plus, the reclassification issue is not directly related to the registry issue.

Ffs dude. All weapons are deadly. This is just showing how much you are of a fudd. Like saying wet water or icy ice.

The only way they can take away your shit is if they know what you have. Right?
The only way they can know is you tell them or they have a list. Right?
The only way they can take your precious rfb is if they re-class it as prohib and don't grandfather it. Right?
The only way for them to know if you have it is? Tell me.

Your rfb is safe from reclas because there is no more registry. If they do it try to reclas it, they have no way of enforcing it. So stop with that one already.

You were already told that your fantasy scenario about gun running and club shooting with "assault weapons acquired through a legal source" never had cases of happening in Canada and never will.

Those criminals do their shooting with hand guns imported/traded from US. Why the fuck would they buy it here if it's fucking cheaper to trade some weed for it? Your scenario would not work purely based on economics of it.

    Ps.
How are you a gun nut? You got your license after a night of drinking cause it seemed like a cool idea.
I got it because that right does not exist in the country where I came from. I wanted to exercise freedoms offered in Canada. Now you see how I cannot take you bs theories and projections as a valid argument?

No there isn't...it's the same thing. There's only a difference in your mind.

You're still obsessing over "gun running". It didn't happen prior to the useless long gun registry, it won't happen after. Any fool that even tries to "gun run" with the POS guns that you're worried about will either end up dead REAL fast or (if they're lucky) find themselves in a cell. Give your head a shake...it's not how the bad guys operate.

With that statement, I can only shake my head, mate. You are naive beyond words.
Not your fault....you're a product of the generation that the Liberals and Wendy Cukier built.
I'm not saying that to insult you, I'm stating it as a fact.

You have knives, you could be a potential murderer.
You have a hammer, you could be a potential murderer.
You have hands, you could be a potential strangler.
You have a computer, you could be a potential pedophile in possession of child pornography.

Based on your logic, anyone's house should be open to police searches without warrant. Right now every person in Canada, whether convicted of a crime in the past or not, is protected from unreasonable search. Except firearm owners that registered their guns.

I seriously cannot understand why you have firearms, you call them weapons (which they are not UNLESS you use them as such) and you like giving up your rights to partake in a hobby that you seem scared of.
