    Car Service Recommendation?

Thought I'd ask here. A few weeks ago I bought a car without really looking at it because the price sounded decent and I thought it might be fun to try something different for a few months. 1991 MR2 turbo. The good news is it has all of 67k km on it. The bad news is the guy says the clutch is slipping in it. I wasn't sober at the time and thought no big deal, it might not even be fried given the km's or I can do it myself if it really is; then I started looking into what was involved with the job. I just don't see myself enjoying this project in the driveway with some jackstands and a few cases of beer the way I originally thought I would. I'm going to look at the adjustment of it first but if it looks like it really is hooped, I'll be taking this thing into a shop for the job. Does anyone have any recommendations? Valley would be preferred but not absolutely neccessary if anyone knows someone that does a lot of these things. It's also an Alberta car and Ill need to spring for an inspection at the same time.

For three easy payments of $29.99, I'll tell you a dozen other things you shouldn't do while loaded. PayPal will be fine.
"Yamaha" - it's Japanese for "fuck your sports car."

My dad swears by Garage Japan, around 118 and 124 in Surrey. I went there a few times, they were good guys but too far away.

if you're willing to come to burnaby to do it i can recommend a good shop to do the job.

i have done this job before it is really no different than doing a clutch on a corolla.
same engine with a turbo on it ( big deal) and the same transmission.
its not an easy job to do on your back. its a lot better to do on a hoist with a proper trans jack.
any transmission shop can do this job.
if you want to come to burnaby call allan autotech 604-451-1760

    Payment is on its way!

Just go to Canadian Tire, buy a Haynes manual, then 48 beer and have at it. Fixed in no time!!

with all the issues I had with my 92 mustang (before ditching it) I found Johnny at Advance Automotive in Richmond. They're usually booked solid but if you're able to wait a week or two they'll get you in, and Johnny won't bullshit you. Most honest and efficient mechanic I've ever met. Recommended him to someone at work and now several people here take their car there.
