I know I will be opening up a can of worms, but here goes. Mom was parked in a grocery store lot. Was backing up slowly, and someone was trying to sneak past her before she was fully backed out and her bumper grazed the other drivers door. No damage to moms car but the other one had a 'bruise' about mid section on the lower part of the door. Unfortunately for mom, she forgot to renew her insurance and was driving around with expired plates lol!! Anyways, I was just curious who would be at fault. The person backing up or the one trying to sneak past quickly? To make matters worse, while the victim was sorting out the details with icbc on the phone, the cab that was picking up my mom, ran into the other drivers car again, and so he has two claims on his car in one sitting lol, apparantly no one was having a good day!! What do you think? I think the other car thought they could sneak past quickly without having to wait for my mom (that was probably driving a half a km an hour) to back out lol. Hit me with your opinions!!
