So I am currently on a trip through Utah and after a day of great riding through Capitol Reef and Bryce canyon in the sun we ended up going over Cedar breaks to get to Cedar city.
The problem is route 14 was closed and we had to go right over the top of the mountains where it was trying to snow, deer were everywhere and a huge freaking bird (some kind of hawk) flew out and smashed into my head breaking my visor and tearing my scala rider off my helmet.
I managed to fix the busted visor with some crazy glue from a gas station and get my scala rider back on but that damn bird really rang my bell and I couldn't help wondering what would have happened had I not been wearing a helmet.
So we get back down to the interstate to find it is an 80mph section and immediately see to young kids on a sport bike with no gear or helmets.
So if you are sick of helmet laws and speed limits come on down to Utah where you can go 80-90mph all day with no helmet...just watch out for birds!
