For quite some time Shaw Cable had six month deals on lower cost Internet access, however recently they made is so that you have to not have been a customer for 90 days (or some such) before you can get one of their six month deals.
Any suggestions on how to reduce Shaw Cable Internet rates and/or still get their ongoing six month deals?
I can use Telus Internet in my area, however I use Comwave for my VOIP (it works great) plus it's only about $11.00 per month, so I have no Telus accounts or Telus costs at all.
Shortly my Shaw six month deal will expire and thus I will have to pay $45 (plus taxes and fees) for "High Speed 10" so that cost plus Comwave's cost would be pretty much $60.
That's the same cost as Telus' "Bundle 1" at $60
I could get Telus "High Speed" for $24 (plus taxes and fees) for six months but then it goes up to $42 (plus taxes and fees) and there may be connection fees etc as I do not use Telus at all.
All I really want it modestly priced reasonably fast Internet access and nothing else.
